# Connect GetYourGuide with your shop

# Connect GetYourGuide with Booqi
Booqi’s GetYourGuide integration keeps availability and bookings in sync between your Booqi account and GetYourGuide. Once connected, GetYourGuide can check availability, create reservations, confirm bookings, and send cancellations directly to Booqi.
## Before you start
You need:
* An active Booqi account with the products you want to sell already configured.
* A GetYourGuide supplier account.
* Access to **Add-ons** in Booqi.
* A username and strong password to use for the API connection.
## Step 1: Configure GetYourGuide in Booqi
1. Log in to Booqi and go to **Add-ons**.
2. Open **GetYourGuide** and enable the add-on.
3. Enter a **Basic Authentication username** and **password**. You will use the same credentials in GetYourGuide.
4. Choose which Booqi products GetYourGuide may sell:
   * **All products**
   * **Only selected products**
   * **All except selected products**
5. If your products use ticket categories such as Adult, Child, or Senior, map each GetYourGuide category to the matching Booqi audience category.
6. Save your settings.
Optional: Enable availability notifications if you want Booqi to notify GetYourGuide when availability changes.
## Step 2: Connect Booqi in GetYourGuide
In your GetYourGuide Connectivity settings, configure Booqi with the following API base URL:
```
https://your-subdomain.booqi.me/api/gyg/1
```
Replace `your-subdomain` with your Booqi subdomain.
Use the Basic Authentication username and password created in Booqi.
GetYourGuide should use the following endpoints:
| Purpose | Endpoint |
| ---- | ---- |
| Check availability | `GET /get-availabilities` |
| Create reservation | `POST /reserve` |
| Cancel reservation | `POST /cancel-reservation` |
| Confirm booking | `POST /book` |
| Cancel booking | `POST /cancel-booking` |
For product mapping, use the Booqi product ID. You can find it in the product URL or in the Booqi product overview.
## How the connection works
1. GetYourGuide requests availability from Booqi before offering a time slot.
2. When a customer starts a booking, GetYourGuide creates a reservation in Booqi.
3. Once payment is confirmed, GetYourGuide confirms the booking and Booqi creates the tickets.
4. If a booking is cancelled, GetYourGuide sends the cancellation to Booqi and capacity becomes available again.
Bookings created through this connection are marked as **GetYourGuide reseller** bookings in Booqi.
## Testing the connection
Before making products live on GetYourGuide, check that:
* GetYourGuide can retrieve availability for each connected product.
* The correct ticket categories are returned.
* A test reservation can be created and cancelled.
* A confirmed booking creates the correct tickets in Booqi.
* A cancellation updates the Booqi order and restores availability.
## Troubleshooting
**GetYourGuide receives an authentication error**
Check that the add-on is enabled in Booqi and that the Basic Authentication username and password match exactly in both systems.
**GetYourGuide cannot find a product**
Confirm that the product is enabled in Booqi, included in the GetYourGuide product scope, and mapped with the correct Booqi product ID.
**A ticket category cannot be booked**
Map the relevant GetYourGuide category, for example `ADULT` or `CHILD`, to the matching Booqi audience category.
**Availability is missing or incorrect**
Check that the product has active dates or time slots, sufficient capacity, and is included in the GetYourGuide add-on’s product scope.
**A booking cannot be cancelled**
Bookings cannot be cancelled after check-in or after the booked time has passed.
