Follow the steps below to connect and configure your Epson printer with your Booqi POS system.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• An Epson receipt printer
• A stable internet/network connection
• A PC or laptop connected to the same network
• Your Booqi API token
• Your POS ID

Step 1 — Connect and Power On the Printer

1. Connect all cables to the printer:
2. • Power cable
   • Network cable
2. Turn on the Epson printer.

Step 2 — Print the Printer Network Information

1. Open the Epson printer cover.
2. While the cover is open:
3. • Press and hold the Receipt Release button until the Receipt light starts blinking.
3. Press the Receipt button:
4. • Twice quickly
   • Then a third time and hold it slightly longer
4. The printer will print:
5. • One long receipt
   • One short receipt
5. On the short receipt, locate the local IP address of the printer.

Example:

192.168.0.xxx

Step 3 — Open the Printer Settings

1. On a PC connected to the same network, open a web browser.
2. Enter the printer IP address in the address bar:

https://192.168.0.xxx/

3. You may receive a security or certificate warning.
4. • Click Advanced
   • Then click Proceed

This is normal for local printer interfaces.

Step 4 — Log In to the Printer

1. Click Advanced Settings, and click in the top right corner "Administrator Login"
2. Enter the printer password.
3. • The password can be found on the back of the printer next to a lock icon.

Step 5 — Configure Server Direct Print

1. Navigate to:

TM-i Settings → Server Direct Print

2. Enable Server Direct Print.
3. Replace the Server 1 URL with:

https://subdomain.booqi.me/api/printer/epson/POS-ID?apiToken=GENERATEDTOKEN

Replace the following values:

Finding Your POS ID

The POS ID can be found in the URL after opening your POS environment.

Creating an API Token

1. Open your Booqi environment
2. Go to:

Settings → API

3. Generate or copy the API token.
4. After the API is created make sure to give the API the correct API rights. After the key is created click on the "Edit" button and check the box below "API printer rights"

Step 6 — Apply the Settings

1. Click Apply & Restart.
2. Wait for the printer to restart.

Setup Complete

Your Epson printer is now connected to your Booqi POS system.
