Receiving a BCC email from Booqi

If you want to receive a copy of emails sent from Booqi without the guest seeing it, you can configure a BCC (blind carbon copy) address. This is useful for archiving, internal visibility, or auditing outgoing communication.

Where you can set a BCC address

Booqi allows you to configure BCC addresses in two places:

1) Global (account-level) BCC

You can set a BCC address in your account or organization email settings.

What happens:

  • Every outgoing email sent from Booqi includes this BCC address.
  • This applies to both automated emails (such as confirmations) and manually sent messages.
  • Use this option if you want a copy of all outgoing communication by default.

2) Per-email or per-template BCC

You can also set a BCC address on a specific email or email template (for example, a confirmation template or a one-off message).

What happens:

  • Only that specific email or template includes the BCC address.
  • Other emails are not affected.
  • Use this option if you only need copies for a specific workflow or message type.

What happens if both are set

If you configure both a global BCC and a per-email or per-template BCC, Booqi applies both settings.

This means:

  • The global BCC address will always receive a copy.
  • The per-email or per-template BCC address will only receive a copy for that specific email.

Tips and best practices

  • Use shared inboxes (such as support@ or archive@) when multiple team members need access.
  • Avoid personal email addresses if your organization requires shared visibility or compliance logging.
  • If you stop receiving BCC copies, double-check that the address is still saved and ensure your email provider isn’t filtering the messages.
